This traditional Victorian property in Netheredge was in need of a serious renovation, whilst still retaining all its original charm.
The owner wanted an open-plan kitchen dining room, with a separate bay-windowed sitting room to the front of the property, overlooking the leafy suburb of Netheredge.

As part of the kitchen renovation and design, one challenge we had to overcome was the worktop height being higher than the bottom of the windows. To accommodate this, we created a well in the window for the customer to make use of potted plants and herbs, which has become one of the kitchen’s nicest features. To complement, brass accessories have been used on the radiator valves, kitchen handles, shelving brackets and doorknobs throughout.
We sanded the original floorboards of the property, removing years of paint and lacquer and the results are clearly plain to see. From the stunning period hallway with original balustrade, to the bespoke manufactured leather fixed-seating with storage beneath, this project was about creating something very special and unique to compliment the property.
