“A modern property with two bathrooms that needed renovating”

This bathroom renovation project required the Stone team to remove all of the ceilings on the first floor. It meant that vaulted ceilings could be created in every room, with two Velux’s installed in the bathroom and one in the en-suite – ensuring a bright and airy feel in both rooms. A focal point in all of the upstairs rooms is the distance from the floor to the apex of the roof, which is an incredible 4m!

Cost: Approx. £10k each

Timescale: 3 weeks

Exposed copper designer pipework was included to run down the en-suite vaulted ceiling. And another eye-catching feature were several 3D tiled cubes built into the bathroom walls to neatly hold plants and downlights.

The extensive tiling used in the high-ceiling bathroom was actually delivered on a tight budget, with 6” tiles that cost £4.50 sq/m, but looked a million dollars. At Stone we can always aim to offer a luxury feel on a budget. The lighting in the bathrooms was triggered by motion sensors so that they come on as you walk in – and that no light is ever left on unintentionally.
